Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process. With age, our skin gets thinner, drier and we lose elastin. The ability of our skin to protect itself is reduced as we age. Eventually, wrinkles, creases, and lines form on our skin.

Continuous muscle contraction is also another major contributor to facial wrinkles. Continuous muscle movement causes ‘dynamic wrinkles’ which only appear when the muscle is used. Over time, if untreated, these wrinkles can become ‘static wrinkles’ which means they become permanently etched in our skin.

Whilst the face is in motion the lines that appear are known as dynamic wrinkles, however, repeated movement over time forms deeper lines and folds known as static wrinkles.

Masseter Jaw Slim Treatment

The masseter muscle is located at the bottom of our jaw and is one of the muscle groups responsible for our ability to chew.

This treatment can be used for contouring the jawline- giving the face that coveted V-shape visage or simply creating a balanced face shape.

Shoulder Contouring

1. Contouring the shoulder and neck line

The most visible effects of treatment on the trapezius is to slim down and contour the shoulder and neck line. A large, well-defined trapezius is often considered a masculine feature, and is usually undesired in females. Disproportionately large trapezius muscles, especially in females, can make the shoulder line look awkward and unattractive. In addition, it also tends to make the neck appear shorter, and the face appear larger.

This treatment can effectively relax and weaken overdeveloped trapezius muscles, reducing their perceived volume. This slims down the neck and shoulder line, which can in turn make the face appear smaller.  Moreover, the relaxed trapezius can make the collarbones more visible and well defined. Overall, this leads to more attractive and feminine body frame.

2. Relieving stiffness and muscle pain in the lower neck and shoulders

In addition, this treatment can also effectively alleviate pain and stiffness in the lower neck and shoulders associated with the trapezius muscle.

In general, most instances of neck and shoulder pain can be traced back to tense muscles. In this case, this treatment partially paralyse the target muscle groups, releasing tension and stiffness in the trapezius, and can effectively sooth any associated pain and discomfort.

Lower Legs Calves Muscle Contouring

The  treatment also can help the calf reduction, which refers to creating a smooth contour from the knees to the ankles that result in a slimmer lower leg. Hence, calf  treatment reduces the muscles in the lower leg area to produce a slimmer and more defined silhouette. The treatment works by administering into the gastrocnemius muscle, which is the most superficial muscle responsible for the calf’s shape and definition.

The time taken for this treatment is often less than an hour, though it takes at least two sessions to see noticeable results, lasting for about six months. Keep in mind that patients who exercise frequently may require more sessions for longer-lasting results.

Reduce underarm sweating

This treatment is also great at stopping armpit sweat. It decreases underarm moisture effectively and quickly. Dryness typically lasts between 3 to 12 months.

This treatment also decreases body odour too. The funky smell from sweaty pits is made by bacteria that thrive in warm, moist places. Eliminate the moisture and the odour goes away as well.

But getting underarm aesthetic treatment doesn’t mean you’re completely off the hook when it comes to wearing deodorant or antiperspirant. The goal of  aesthetic treatment is to reduce profuse sweating to a normal or slightly less-than-normal amount. Most people still have a little bit of sweating and may find they need deodorant or antiperspirant. But it varies from person to person.

How the treatment for sweating works

The aesthetic treatment works by temporarily blocking the chemicals that signal it’s time for your glands to produce sweat. It doesn’t affect touch or sensation in the underarm area.

Avoid vigorous physical activity or any large intakes of alcohol for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising. Aspirin, Vitamin E and Fish Oil Supplement should not be taken one week before the treatment.

No. Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we do not treat clients who are pregnant. We advise against all aesthetic treatments whilst pregnant simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on aesthetic treatments effects on the fetus.

It is recommended to repeat the treatment before the muscle movements return to normal which is typically 3-4 months. This way there is an overlap in results and a continued softening effect.

For legal reasons, we are unable to publish the brand names of prescription medicines for aesthetic treatments. As an ethical cosmetic clinic, we only use market-leading brands. At your complimentary consultation, our cosmetic doctor/registed nurse can freely talk about the options suitable to you.

Whilst we have seen amazing results from the treatment, please know that results do vary and we cannot make guarantees. We recommend coming and speaking to our Cosmetic Doctors and Cosmetic Registered Nurses for an in-depth consultation. They will discuss in detail how the treatment works, whether it will be right for your skin type and the expected results in line with your treatment goals.
